Buffalo Recycling Alliance

The City of Buffalo has dramatically increased its residential recycling rates with its new totes.  PPG and its allies want to build on that success with a Buffalo Recycling Alliance that will work to increase recycling and reduce waste at businesses, multi-family residences, schools, and events through education, collaboration, and advocacy.  The founding organizations of the Alliance are: Buffalo First!, Citizens Campaign for the Environment, Partnership for the Public Good, Olmsted Center for Sight , Sierra Club Niagara Group and Ujima Theatre.

We will begin  meeting every first Wednesday of the month.  The next meeting will be held on June 5th at 5:30pm at the Community Foundation on Exchange St.  We hope to see a lot of new faces, as efforts for recycling in Buffalo continue to grow!

All are welcome to join this exciting effort.  To join the Buffalo Recycling Alliance or for more information, contact Kyla Jaquish, Kyla@ppgbuffalo.org, 852-4191, ext. 115.

A big thank you goes out to Ecology and Environment, Inc. for awarding the Buffalo Recycling Alliance the
2013 WNY Earth Day Award!
